Our Team
First Presbyterian Church of High Springs has ministers of many natures. Most important of all are each and every member and guest of our church family who bring the love of Jesus to the church and the community.
We are also blessed to have a team that help lead worship and minister to others with preaching, music and more. We hope you will get to know them personally.
The Rev. Dr. Clinton Cottrell
Supply Pastor
Pastor Clint joined us in September of 2023. Our new pastor moved to North Central Florida from the Fort Myers area after formally retiring from full time ministry. Pastor Clint was ordained in 2000 after retiring from the Federal Aviation Administration as an air traffic controller and tower manager. He has a Doctor of Ministry from Trinity School for Ministry and a Masters of Divinity from Pittsburgh Theological Seminary. Pastor Clint was also a certified EMT-Paramedic, is an Extra class amateur radio operator and loves fishing. He is married to his childhood sweetheart, Amy, and has grown children and grand children from Pittsburgh to Atlanta to Orlando.
When asked about serving FPC High Springs he remarked, "I feel it an honor to serve a lovely, historic Christian congregation in a beautiful small town. Julie Taylor
Director of Music
Julie serves God through the gift of her music, leading the church family on the piano, singing, directing the choir and lovingly leading the children's choir. Julie is an incredible musician who has a degree in music from the University of Florida. When not at the church, Julie serves as a K-5 music teacher in the local elementary school or spending time with her talented husband and children. If you spend 5 minutes with Julie you will learn how blessed our congregation is to have this talented and gifted Christian servant-leader.
